Connect2Elect: Reunions for Democracy

Travel with friends to canvass in a swing state in 2026. It’s a mini-reunion for democracy.

Want to take a BIG step toward winning in 2026? Crimson Goes Blue is sponsoring two multi-day canvassing trips to key districts this fall: AZ-01 in Phoenix, and MI-10 near Detroit. Canvassing is a proven method of getting people out to vote. Not only is it effective, it’s fun!

No experience is necessary to join. We do all the training and organizing for trips that include… coffee together in the mornings before heading out to knock on doors, canvassing with friends old and new, poll observing, ballot curing, and hanging together in the evenings to share stories. If you’d like to have a major impact in 2026, join us in community-sharing activism and friendship.

What is a Connect2Elect trip?

On the Connect2Elect trips, Crimson Goes Blue members and friends will gather in a battleground state to support Democratic candidates and ensure that every vote is counted. We will partner with local campaigns and organizers to find the most effective ways that out-of-towners can help.

Early voting periods are a particularly effective time for Crimson Goes Blue members to volunteer to energize voters and drive higher voter turnout. Our groups may also focus on poll observing and ballot curing to ensure election integrity during early voting and on election day.

Our Canvassing Trips

Multi-day Trips in 2 States

Phoenix, Arizona

Wednesday, October 7 – Monday, October 18

Arizona is a key battleground state, and its elections are crucial for taking back the House and holding the Democratic Governorship and Attorney General's office .

The vast majority of AZ voters vote by mail or drop off their ballots. We’ll be there during the early vote period, which begins October 7th. You can join us any series of days between October 7 and October 18 but you must start on a Wed, Fri, or Sat for required in-person training with our partners at Seed the Vote and Worker Power .

Mail-in ballots will start to arrive on October 9th, so this will be a key period for engagement.

We also have the opportunity to flip the State Senate and the State House (current make-up: State Senate: 14-D, 16-R; State House: 29-D, 31-R). How great it would be to break these long-standing Republican majorities.

The fundamental right to abortion will be on the ballot and will hopefully drive up Democratic turnout.

Detroit, Michigan

Friday, October 23 – Sunday, November 1

Michigan will be critical to taking back the House and the Senate in 2026.

We must ensure that Christina Hines wins the House seat in district MI-10 just north of Detroit and that Abdul El-Sayed wins the open Senate seat. Additionally, we want to make sure to win the governor's race for Joycelyn Benson and hold our majorities in the State Legislature (current make-up is State Senate: 20-D, 18-R; State House: 56-D, 54-R).
